Mayor of Al-Baha Inspects Developmental Housing Projects in Baljurashi
BALJURASHI — The Mayor of Al-Baha Region, Dr. Ali bin Mohammad Al-Swat, inspected today the projects of the Ma’wa Association for Social Services in Baljurashi Province. These projects are established on Ministry of Municipalities and Housing lands, in partnership with the Sakan Foundation and with the participation of the Baljurashi Charity Association in supporting and funding several housing initiatives. The tour was attended by the Governor of Baljurashi, Naif Al-Hazzani.
During the visit, the Mayor reviewed the completed "Suhub 1" project located in the Al-Humaid district of Baljurashi. Beneficiaries have already been nominated for this project in preparation for the final handover procedures. The project consists of four residential buildings, each containing four units, totaling 16 housing units.
Dr. Al-Swat received a briefing on the components of the units, each spanning 170 square meters. The modern designs, which prioritize construction quality and family needs, include a Majlis (reception room), a living hall, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Swat inspected the ongoing "Suhub 2" project, which comprises 20 housing units across seven residential buildings. This includes three large buildings with four apartments each (totaling 12) and four smaller buildings with two units each (totaling 8). The average area per unit is approximately 170 square meters.
The total number of units across the "Suhub 1" and "Suhub 2" projects has reached 36 apartments, part of the developmental housing projects implemented by the association in partnership with supporting entities.
During the tour, the Mayor directed the implementation of afforestation initiatives and urban landscape improvements around the residential projects to ensure an integrated and sustainable living environment for the beneficiary families.
He noted that the total number of housing units implemented by the Ma’wa Association for Social Services in the Al-Baha Region has reached 97. This ranks Al-Baha second among the Kingdom's regions in terms of the number of units executed by the association, which totals 488 units nationwide.
